Isybuy Raises €10 Million to Expand International Sales and Reduce the Carbon Footprint of Procurement Orders
Isybuy recently raised €10 million to accelerate its international expansion and develop new features aimed at reducing the carbon impact of procurement orders. The funding round, led by Eiffel Investment Group and Swen Capital Partners, combines equity financing, bank loans, and a grant from the France Relance recovery program.
Mélanie Lehoux, founder and CEO of Isybuy, expects the company’s workforce to double from 30 to 60 employees within a year. This latest funding round follows the €4.5 million previously raised in 2019 and 2021, helping Isybuy strengthen its international growth, which currently accounts for 10% of total revenue.
Mélanie began her career as a buyer at Eiffage after graduating with a civil engineering degree from INSA Toulouse. Frustrated by the time wasted due to the lack of digital tools, she left the construction group in 2016 to create Ibat. Following an MBA in Shanghai, where she discovered the efficiency of modern digital tools widely used in China, she designed a procurement software solution for the construction industry. The platform was quickly adopted by companies such as Demathieu Bard and Spie Batignolles.
In January 2023, Ibat became Isybuy, broadening its focus to target all mid-sized companies. This strategic expansion enabled the company to increase its revenue by 70% in 2023.
With 80% of its new clients now coming from outside the construction sector, Isybuy offers intuitive procurement solutions and is preparing new features designed to reduce the carbon footprint of purchasing activities.
